Performance Heaven! The 2011 Honda CR-Z Sport Hybrid Dominates 2010 SEMA Show
Twelve modified 2011 Honda CR-Z sport hybrid coupes are featured prominently in the Honda booth at the 2010 SEMA Show. As the first available sport hybrid, the CR-Z demonstrates new opportunities for vehicle personalization among the import tuner community. Several significant vehicles are being unveiled at the show, including a 2011 CR-Z equipped with MUGEN* accessories, the Honda Performance Development, Inc. (HPD) CR-Z Hybrid R Concept, the HPD CR-Z Racer and several vehicles equipped with Honda Genuine Accessories. A 2011 CR-Z equipped with MUGEN accessories was also being revealed, and Honda announced that in the spring of 2011, it will begin sales of a limited-edition MUGEN accessory kit for the vehicle. Limited to only 300 complete kits, the package includes: a full MUGEN body kit; a front grille; a rear wing spoiler; 17-inch “XJ” aluminum wheels; sport mats; a unique black aluminum shift knob and a billet aluminum oil-filler cap. Further, after purchase, each owner will receive a unique serial-number plaque designating each kit as one of 300 available. All of the painted parts will come color-matched to each of the five available CR-Z colors. Pricing details will be made available closer to the on-sale date. Also unveiled today were two concept vehicles from HPD: the CR-Z Hybrid R Concept and the HPD CR-Z Racer. Hello …CR-Z FAN. CR-Z is for me the BEST of HONDA . I Bought my HONDA CR-Z GT TOP, ( Black), last year and i am full satisfied with the car. It is my 14th Honda. Video of my CR-Z GT TOP is also available at YOUTUBE.Congratulations to HONDA Cars.
You shouldnt have to go aftermarket and put a turbo on it, it should come with it from factory. I don’t trust mechanics enough to take my new car in to get it turboed, there are too many negative experiences out there. I would however do the suspension , wheels, body etc as these things are easy to do. HONDA need to give this car a great engine from factory to make it a good platform for your average tuner.

I work at a honda dealership and we’ve only sold 1 CRZ since they’ve been out. no one wants them. just way overpriced. 16 year olds might think they’re cool, but they aren’t gunna be able to afford a 20-25,000 dollar car.

@pjsmetana lol wat eve u say … the v6 jut beat the wrx sti on the track …and not in a line … on the turns ..The CR-Z dose nothing as good as the v6,,, so if being better is gay ,,lol if that makes u sleep at night

That is the stereotype actually among many FWD cars with spoilers. Like others have mentioned the spoilers does provide some use for FWD cars. RWD uses the wing for down force on the rear wheels while the FWD cars use it for other reasons. Did you know the rear spoiler will provide better handling and grip to a FWD car if the FWD car is equip’d with a front splitter? Its true, its on Google. Look it up.

I second that… I have a 2011 Base CRZ and really want an SI version of the car – 200 + HP is the way to go.
why mod a hybrid? u buy a hybrid for fuel economy not to make it go fast as suck alot of fuel. The crz is a slow ass car, why even bother?
if they Make the Red HPD i’m buying it today!! that should have been the next CRX.
