Porsche is holding no punches. Following this mornings web debut with initial video of the much anticipated 2010 Porsche 911 GT3 RS facelift, we now have a second video aptly titled Extreme Truth. With a heightened sense of drama we get to witness some pure driving action from Stuttgart’s latest hyper car.

@unknownunknowns Yes, I am pretty sure that the new Carrera will get a 3.4 because every single german magazine is reporting the same. It is supposed to have a higher output than the current base engine while improving fuel economy.
@71CommodoreGSE Are sure it’s 3.4 as the cheapest Carrera has 3.6? It could be more like the Cayman S getting 3.6 while the cheapest Carrera would get 3.8 and the GT3 gets 4.0 with 480 hp. So, there’s a larger displacement going on. Yes the GT2 RS is faster slightly but costs WAY MORE than the non-Euro competition.

The “regular 911′s will get a 3.4 and the current 3.8 while improving fuel economy.
BTW, the GT2RS is faster than the ZR1 around the ‘ring. Not by much, but it is faster.
And compared to it’s natural competition (Astons, Jags, Ferraris etc.) Porsche are indeed a bargain.

Why did they not use the GT2 for this comparison? After all the Turbo is not Porsches best performer.

According to Ranger, that’s too much wheelspin off the line. If you watch his videos (he has posted the fastest times for a bone stock Z06 and ZR1 in the world) you can see he has little wheelspin and much better times than what they achieved, which are better than I could do no doubt. On corvetteforum Ranger posted it will take an average driver 75+ passes to begin to get good times on the 1/4 and standing mile and I doubt motortrend did anywhere near 75 passes

@8MunchenBayern8 Only the back plate is fiber glass, the roof and hood are carbon fiber. Just because it bends does NOT mean it has crappy build quality. Fiber glass bending is a good thing, especially in minimizing damage at low speeds. So please go touch the back of a 911 Turbo, it doesn’t bend, which means it sucks? NO, don’t be an idiot.

The 911 is a great car and all but I couldnt pick a 911 over a ZR1 ever. I think the 911 turbo is a better match for the R35 Skyline GTR. Both nice cars though

@YankEZe911 well i live in Sydney Australia so by law you have to do driving tests on computers and driving test so – Learners permit – computer test must not get 4 wrong or else you fail (GAY FUCKING HATE IT LOL)
P1 – must have done 120 logged hour’s driving with a parent plus must be 17
p2 – must pass the driving hazards test and must be 18 years
full license – must wait bout 2 years on your p2 after that you have your full license!!!! that’s how it works in SYD Australia
