is this the current gt2 rs im confused normally they just make the rs version lighter and more track prepared but this one has loads more power than a stock gt2 ???

@DisposableWarrior yeah but the point was different. They showed space center training mark at the end because in space training you have to go through very extreme situations to test your stamina, and they related driving as prosche as if training yourself for the extreme level.

@dsmsucks just like the street version of the GT1 it’s detuned. The street GT1 was detuned to 700HP witch is over 10 year old, and the GT2rs is detuned even more to 630hp but Porsche as been running flat 6 engine for years and they perfectionate that motor in anyway like none turbo GT3rs revving@8500rpm and getting 118hp per liter to turbo application. The old GT1 with the 3.2 use to get 600hp that was in 1996.

@dsmsucks you do realize that the GT2rs runing @23.2PSI is unhealthy and is unhealthy for any turbo to be set up at that kind of pressure, as it’s really only blowing hot air at that kind of pressure, but it shows you how capable the engine is you could easily reduce the PSI and still get the same HP just by upgrading the intake pathway and by getting a better flowing exhaust, and getting a more efficient intercooler or you could just get a bigger turbo, but then in such a small engine you wou
@rkfromchi this isnt a back yard turbo set up. Im pretty sure porsche made the motor able to stand 23.2 psi. I love gm lsx motors

@rkfromchi FYI I like to see a turbo corvette runing at 23.2PSI on 91 octane fuel it would last half a second then poof it blows up, also it’s not about how many PSI but how many CFM you burning, and a Porsche gt2rs is running at that amount of PSI because of the turbo size if it was bigger it would run at a smaller PSI and still feed the motor over 1000CFM, if you upgrade the turbo and still keep the VTG with a more efficient intercooler and intake pathway with a better exhaust flow you could
@rkfromchi very simple just like a stoke gt2rs can, extrymely beef up internals and 50 years of technology in turbocharging. FYI the gt2rs engine is the same engine use in there LeMan race cars and are capable of runing over a 1000hp just as reliable or most likely more reliable then all tuned corvette turbo at same HP. It’s easy to burn over 1000CFM out of a 7 liter V8 but it takes experience and knowledge to do so on a stock factory tuned 3.6L opposat(boxer) 6 in a very efficient way like no
@Aure9000 please explain how you can get 1000hp out of a 3.6L motor and provide a warranty? like i told the other guy below, lookup gm lsx 427 on youtube and you will see that corvettes can be dialed up to 1500hp with only 20k, lol imagine 23.2psi on an lsx motor buddy. this is why corvettes & vipers absolutely rule the dragstrip, not porsche or nissan!
@dsmsucks lol back at you! 23.2psi? you do know that the zr1 only runs around half of that at 10psi. do yourself a favor and lookup gm lsx motor on youtube and watch a 427 non fi(turbo) motor pump out 800hp! cant believe automakers dialed up 23psi in a commercially sold car. at those levels porsche cant guarantee anything unless they perform all maintenance to keep that motor tuned.
