We’ve heard all the conspiracy theories, most of them involving checks in large denominations from Munich. This might seem believable to a certain segment of the population, but there’s a far less interesting truth behind all those wins: The BMW was the best car. Sure, certain rivals often upped their game in one area or another, but the 3 Series always put it all together in a way that made it better. So now the 2010 Audi S4 is here to take another shot. It’s all-new this year and the old V8 is gone. There’s now a supercharged V6 in its place, along with a lower price designed to better align the S4 with the BMW 335i. The BMW 3 Series received a face-lift of its own last year. It was mostly minor trim changes and the like, but we’re told that iDrive thing was tweaked again, too (oh, lovely). Sounds like a fair fight, no?

@zuuman1 When I was younger I owned a ferrari 355, and Also had a porsche 996. Don’t tell me what I have and haven’t owned. Oh and I don’t believe you own an Aston. Mostly the way you present it. @Mowner3 another reason for that is probably because I don’t have another car that is even close to the quality and workmanship of an aston!! The fit and finish on that car is amazing. you really have to experience it to believe it! It makes audi’s interior look hideous and bmw’s look even worse than that, not even an S8 can compare to the quality of the interior of my aston.
@Mowner3 i tell you i treat my aston martin alot better than my 2.7t a6. I have spent hours upon hours working on and perfecting my a6 and nearly nothing but a car wash on my aston martin. But my aston is my baby! But that is probly cause I spent more than 250k on it but still If i had a m3 and did all sorts of work on it it still would not be considered my baby compared to my aston. You are just making a comment like that because you have never experienced a car such as an aston or ferrari!!!!

@Mowner3 I was 28 when I bought my 2009 335i xdrive coupe, which cost me $72,000 Canadian dollars and at that time, the Canadian dollar was at par with the American dollar. Depends on what you do for living. You should change your profile age. Why do you have your age listed as being 29?

@zuuman1 Cont. If you buy a r8 or 458 italia you expect them to be good. When you buy a stock M3 or a 911 or an s4 and then race ready it it turns into your child that you just adore. Making it light, rebuilding the engine, spoiler, splitter, ajusting little things. My m3 means more to me than any ferrari or Aston Martin because it’s mine. Not becasue some italian that I don’t even know made it, but because I made and perfected it. That’s what I love about racing, that’s what I love about BMW.
@zuuman1 Excuse me sir. But I don’t want to bag on the Audi, Actually if you read some of my other comments on videos I say that BMWs lose to Audi. Like the 7 series is way worse than the A8. I also said that I’m considering buying a A8 because my 5 series is starting to hurt my back. Just becasue I said the S4 isn’t as good as the 335i doesn’t mean I hate all audis. The r8 is an amazing car, it is easily one of the best supercars in the world. But it doesn’t amuse me. Cont.
@phv628 it will be a v8, originally audi was saying it would be twin turbo charged but now they have come out with a non turbo v8. maybe in the near future they will use a twin turbo. It puts out similiar numbers to the m3 but it handles corners better due to the new crown gear set up and torque vectoring which can put more power to the outer wheels in corners giving you the ability to withstand more “g’s than before. the crown gear can put up to 70% of power to front or rear wheels as well.
@zuuman1 What type of engine will be under the hood of the new rs5? Will it be the new competitor of the M3?
@Mowner3 have you ever driven a r8? NO! That car has amazing feel of the road. You make all these blind claims about audi and I would bet you have never driven anything but your stupid q7. news flash audi has higher increase in sales than bmw this year and if it continues they will pass bmw by 2012 my friend. looks like the ultimate driving machine is not so ultimate any more eh?? keep making blind claims. as for the porsche exhaust sounding shitty you might want to get your hearing checked…
@phv628 i would certainly suggest an s4, it handles really well and the acceleration you feel when driving is great. If you have a little extra money I would wait until the rs5 makes it debut in north america, I was in europe recently for business and test drove an rs5 and that car is so amazing!! The only car I have driven that is better than that is the r8 and aston martin dbs, both of which are way out of the price range of the rs5. If you don’t have that kind of money i would also suggest s5
@zuuman1 The placement of the engine, nor do they sound very good, or look very good. But you do feel like a part of the car when you’re in it. What I mean by that is you’re very involved in the driving of the car. Another thing Audi fails to do in cars.
@zuuman1 I am very interested in test driving one of these new Audi’s. During this past summer, I took out a Porsche 911 Carerra 4S and I really enjoyed the power and sound of the exhaust. I would definitely recommend a Porsche for a track car. In the fall, I had the opportunity to take out a 2006 E46 M3 out for a test drive and I must say that car had good power too and a very good exhaust sound. When the snow melts, i’ll see about taking out the s4 for a test drive.

@zuuman1 Well there’s a price difference. I could buy a Ferrari if I had 300,000 big ones laying around. I would have to sell my wife’s q7, sell my 5 series and my m3, then I would sell some of my shares and maybe be able to afford one of those cars. Oh and I like porsche, but wouldn’t ever buy one. So the M3 is the poor mans supercar.
@phv628 i would probably get an s6/8 or a7, they are really roomy and comfortable on long drives, i own a engineering company and do lots of long drives so i prefer a larger car. If it was for sport it would be an a/s5 hands down for audi, they are beautiful cars and drive well. I really like the exterior of the a7, it is just so easy to look at IMHO. The s4 has alot of engine problems, i got it as a travel car for business and it has 480k on it, I am planning on keeping it for a project car.
@Mowner3 if you want a track car i would go out and buy yourself a ferrari, lambo, lotus, porsche etc. those are ultimate driving machines. bmw are not a bad car but you say they are the be all end all and truly and honestly they are not in fact they are not even close!!
